According to the team of researchers, new findings have been done by them which can be very helpful in the new treatments for cognitive disorders. This research has been published in many news papers in which it has been shown by the researchers that dramatic changes occurs in the primary visual cortex at the time when mice learn to distinguish novel from the familiar visual stimuli. These are the manipulations which are helpful in preventing the changes in the visual cortex as well as blocked memory formation.

A number of neuropsychiatric disorders featured impairments in detecting as well as recognizing familiar visuals elements along with patterns which also includes autism as well as schizophrenia. With the help of these new findings, the team of researchers will have the opportunity in order to investigate how gene mutations which cause or increase the risk for these disorders disrupt the mechanisms of the visual recognition memory.

It has been anticipated by the team of researchers with MBA College in Jaipur that this knowledge will be very helpful in suggesting entirely novel approaches in order to treat these diseases. In order to understand the physical basis of memory, the team of researchers is doing effort for identifying where as well as how the brain changes as learning occurs. It is something that has been very tough to achieve.

It has been showed by the team of researchers that mice move in order to inspect a visual stimulus which has never been experienced before they stop moving when the same stimulus becomes familiar. It has also been discovered by the team of researchers that synaptic transmission was changed in the primary visual cortex as familiarity was learned. Due to preventing this kind of process and workings in visual cortex, the animals are unable in order to distinguish between familiar as well as novel visual stimuli.

Previously, this primary visual cortex was seen as a first responder by the researchers in order to visual stimuli which quickly passes information along to higher order brain regions for the purpose of interpretation as well as memory storage. This study of the researchers with Top Engineering College Jaipur points to the visual cortex as a tool of learning as well as memory in its own right.
