New Trends in Engineering

Whenever there is a change in trend, it is noticed in the practice of engineering in India. Students are breaking the traditional discipline of many students opting for computer engineering is slowly fading out and being replaced by mechanical engineering. A study has been done by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which proves with all the data available with them that the government body is responsible for technical education in the country shows that the number of admissions in Computer Science as a subject has been on a constant fall since the year 2012. The stats showing decline in the enrolments of aspirants in computer science as well as in many of the Plugin Development India, Pune, Delhi and Bangalore etc.

The number figures in Mechanical engineering has been the maximum in the academic year 2013-14 at 534199, in the same year number of students recruited in Computer science was 323697 with continuous decline in consecutive years. A variation is visible with the increase in number of recruitment with the number of student intake in these two disciplines. The IT industry was growing sometime back which appreciated students to diverge towards pursuing computer science but now the industry is soaked. The number of enrolments in Mechanical courses in various colleges including Affordable SEO Services India, Pune, Delhi and Bangalore etc. plus across the country increased by two lakh from 2012-13 to 2015-16. Administrators in the government, characterize it to the global trends of reducing demand for computer science by engineering graduates.

The demand is less and the supply is more of IT experts in the industry are the sole reason that students are opting for other fields of engineering, said by the senior HRD Ministry official, associated with technical education.

It is not necessary to pursue computer science engineering for IT. Everyone is studying computers which say that if 100 people develop software, then only three are required to maintain it, which reduces the manpower. On the other hand, Mechanical is a field where one needs subject professionalism to be able to work in the field. If talking in terms of placement, Mechanical has shown a rise in numbers over the last four years.
